This is my fifth ACTS weekend and each experience has been a unique get together with the Holy Spirit. On this most recent retreat in September 2008, twenty two men joined a team of thirty team members to become closer to God. "Wherever two or more of you are gathered in My Name, I'll be there." A brotherhood was formed that will last a life time and this brotherhood clearly included Jesus. Many of the men who resisted coming to the retreat in the first place, were wondering why they resisted this opportunity. Everyone says the weekend was absolutely awesome, and it was from my viewpoint.

Pete Reguin, Colchester

“It solidified my already growing spiritual growth. Also, I more than ever clearly see my growth in Christ is a continuing journey. That, and these retreats I have made are like bricks in the building of the Lord’s temple within my soul”

Alan Fafard, Colchester

“Unbelievable! My wife and I, after 53 years together now, say the rosary every day. So much happened to me. God is now my partner.”

Frank P. Mauro, Windham

“I was moved! The Holy Spirit came to me and I have actions. I was called by name.”

Mark Chartier, Baltic

“So many things struck me about the weekend, but one of the biggest feelings, which I’ve never experienced before at a retreat, is the sense of brotherhood I felt with the group of men that was together. It really helped me to imagine what the beginning church was like, and the love that Jesus shared with his friends, and the bond that was formed between them all when He left this world. This struck me again last night as I watched the Passion movie, and saw the Last Supper. It brought me back to Saturday evening of the retreat, which was so precious in so many ways.”

 John Thorpe

“Family, friends and my job never allowed me to take time out for myself to take a good look at my life, in reality or spirituality. The weekend allowed men to be human. It helped me realize that there are others that have similar challenges in life and can be there to help work things out. We had great conversations and shared stories of how we can fit God into our everyday lives and what a difference it makes. I have never laughed and cried so hard in such a short period of time!”

 Ken Arnold

“The ACTS Retreat Experience for me was a rebirth of the spirit which renewed a tired soul in today’s busy
world.”
